Swiss Satellite Company SWISSto12 named Technology Pioneer

Renens, Switzerland, June 11th 2024 // SWISSto12, one of the world’s fastest-growing satellite and RF products manufacturers has been selected as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. As a Technology Pioneer, SWISSto12 will join a global community of 101 companies solving global challenges in a proactive, innovative, and entrepreneurial way.

A global network for high-growth, early-stage technology companies, the Technology Pioneers community participates in the Forum’s Centres, collaborating with leaders in government and civil society to scale their impact, help overcome global challenges and build future resiliency.
SWISSto12 is one of two Swiss companies and one of nine space companies selected as part of this year’s cohort, alongside companies from  around the world, reflecting a diverse range of pioneering technologies and innovations.

SWISSto12’s selection for this year’s cohort is a testament to their achievements in better connecting and protecting the world through satellite communications innovation. The company’s geostationary SmallSat – HummingSat – delivers low-cost high-speed connectivity to better serve telecom operators, businesses, governments, NGOs and communities, – wherever they are in the world.

Headquartered in Lausanne with 150 employees and offices in the U.S and Europe, SWISSto12 supplies satellites and Radio Frequency systems to companies including Viasat, Inmarsat and Thales, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumann. The company is funded by a portfolio of experienced European investors including Swisscom and ZKB. To date, the company has generated over €200 million in customer orders across its satellite and Radio Frequency business. The business is expanding rapidly to meet strong customer demand and recently added an additional 1,200m2 of production that now covers a total of 5’600m2 in Renens, Switzerland.
